Fallin' into Fall.

Happy November everyone!  Like you, we are stoked that fall is finally upon us.

The weather is beautiful, the girls are starting to cover themselves up, aaaand it's cuddling season. ;)

We are especially excited because this joyous time of year brings out some of the good in people that is usually bottled up indoors all blazing summer long.  {especially now that the election is over.}

Amongst these already spectacular perks to autumn, we have developed a list for you of some things we absolutely love!

It's Not Easy Being Teen

Hey errr'one.  Our most sincere apologies for our extended absence in the blogging world.  Life as teenage girls can get pretty hard...

which bring us to our topic: the struggles of adolescence.

Fashions to keep up with, reputations to uphold, and the opposite gender to impress.  These are just a few of the many obstacles we face.

1.) FASHION TRENDS

hair bows, combat boots, denim wear, maxi skirts, native patterns, you name it...we want it.

there's only one problem.  we gots no money. oh wait...that's where all our money goes.  it's not our fault that the second you walk into Forever 21 your mind is blown and you have the sudden urge to purchase every beautifully crafted article of clothing and/or accessory in sight. or when you find that "fits perfectly" pair of overpriced jeans at Urban Outfitters and find yourself in the check out line frantically attempting to justify the massive amount of money you're about to spend.  and let's not forget that floral head-wrap you just HAD to have. happens to the best of us...

and boys, we know you're not innocent here.  that 'OBEY' shirt definitely costed a pretty penny.

2.) SOCIAL LIFE

whether you have one friend or thousands, having a social life requires some sacrifice. who has time to turn in that online essay or study for that statistics test when there are football games to attend, homecoming dances to prep for and so on.... and let's just think for a moment about those fridays when you have a major quiz in ALL of your classes. well played teachers...well played.

 p.s. honors english, do you really think I am going to waste my precious summer days reading a book that makes about as much sense to me as the 'silly bandz' phase? good joke.

3.) LADIES & GENTS

we all have that special someone(s) we are constantly trying to impress..aaand now you're thinking about him/her. gotchya.

let's just be honest, the reason topics 1 and 2 are so important is because of this person.  girls, we know you aren't wearing those wedges cause they're comfy. ;) and boys, there's no way you're going to that dance concert to "support the performing arts program".

If you check their facebook/instagram multiple times every day...you're not alone. we all do it...i think.

and don't worry about those awkward/embarrassing moments you have in front of them...we've had our fair share of trips, falls, and stutters in front of our significant others and they still like us.  so don't lose hope. all is well.

And as this post comes to a close, we have a few GO's and HECK NO's to share with y'all.

I know some of you may be under the assumption that Gilbert High is "ghetto".  Well, you happen to be dead on!  Don't get me wrong, we be reppin' the tigers..but let's get real.  It's one of the freakiest places we've ever been, in multiple ways.  

First off, we have the notorious "tail wearers".  Are you confused? So are we.  If you don't know what we are referring to, just take a gander at this 'foxy' couple {see what I did there?} our friend snapped a photo of. 

Just chillin.

Next in the line up, we have the full on baby-makers in the hallway.  Too far? Sorry, just keepin' it real. FYI: You'll see them in approximately 55 minutes, after your next class. Relax.

And let's please take a moment for the four foot tall incoming freshmen.  I swear they get shorter every year...

It wouldn't be Gilbert High without all our wangsters. Seriously, it's so hot when you're pants are around your ankles and you walk at a pace of .00002 miles an hour in the hallway. Keep up the good work; maybe all that swag will benefit you later in life. LOL JK.

We can't forget about our lovely librarians, who make the library a place of refuge...but heaven forbid you crack a smile while studying, and you will be invited to "head out" immediately. If you dare to stall in the least bit, you will be politely asked to "GROW UP." And if you're thinking about making a run for it or perhaps hiding behind a bookcase to escape punishment...forget about it. These elderly ladies have a need for speed. {You may think we're exaggerating, and we wish we were...but these are all based on personal experiences.}

And to all you guys wearing wife beaters and doing the shuffle dance at lunch, please continue party rockin'.

Blogging, say whaaa?

Greetings our virtual ladies & gents.  If you're wondering why this blog exists, don't ask.  We aren't real sure either.  We've been told by several, to host our own television show but we replied that after watching us for about ten seconds, you'd want to roll in a pit and die.  Sooo we made the next best thing..a blog!  I guess this isn't official until we introduce ourselves.

This is JACI.

She enjoys colored skinny jeans, correcting people's grammar, stalking cute couples on instagram and/or facebook, and blowing every penny she earns on food.  She also happens to be a little bit obsessed with photography.  

Well...maybe more than just a little.

She enjoys sarcastic remarks, crazy patterned shorts, ice cream at any time of the day and spending every waking moment of her summer guarding lives and teaching crazy kids how to swim in the sweltering heat.

We enjoy Costa Vida on a weekly basis, listening to the same song on repeat until it gets old, working hard {or hardly working} in our dance class at 7:30 A.M., sitting at the computer for hours looking up chords for guitar and attempting to harmonize our voices, mooching off each other constantly and just calling it even, swapping wardrobes, laughing way too hard at our own stupidity, being late to every important event imaginable, matching on accident, and last but not least, being ridiculously good drivers with an impeccable sense of direction..........oh wait.
